almost cheating... a few tips.

refs walking your way means people walking your way. I get a lot of confused looks when I say "two refs coming up", and I take cover. what I mean is 'we're about to get ambushed'. its what gamers refer to as "metagaming", using logic that hinges on the fact that your playing a game, but if you've got it, use it.

if your gun scares people, they don't need to know its out of ammo, you can point it a crowd and they will scatter.

looks can be deceiving. its all internal in the guns. big and scary doesn't necessarily equal effective. some of the most effective weapons I've seen on an airsoft field, have been very unassuming. Hobbits stockless AK. looks like nothing special...but its one of the best guns we brought to the field. VSR-10...looks like a cheap varmint rifle, but it gets right out there accurately. a cheap springer m-16 one of our people brought and we were going to use as a prop, scored more kills than some players with eight times more expensive gear, and we're looking at adding them to our arsenal...and we have a.e.g.s.

mercenaries, are mercenaries. they will behave as such.

before whining about that guy not calling hits, consider the possibility that you missed. to help with this...

...don't use invisible bbs. they sound cool, but in practice, seeing your placement and trajectory will help you considerably...

read 'the art of war". I know. almost cheating.

treat your team mates well.

keep radio conversions relevant.

whether you have a spring pistol, or a systema, the game goes on... keep moving. if all else fails, you can be a decoy to draw fire while your team mates advance.

many of these things should be obvious. apparently they are not. everything here is in reference to things I saw at fueling the fire. this doesn't cover everything, in fact we'll have a post on "wallet winners" in the near future.

  1. I offered my pistol to six people who's guns had gone down. they all refused and were content to sit out the rest of the day... kids theses days...
